From whatever level you are at there is always a place to paddle with the abundance of rivers and streams, and there is nothing like the freeness of just you, your boat/ paddle and the water. After you have had a chance to get away you may want to experience the culture that exists for boaters and non boaters alike.

First New England Throwdown of the season

NE Hometown throwdown’s 09′

We are back for a second year! New England Hometown Throwdowns Announced. The Upper Valley of Vermont/New Hampshire will once again host World Kayakand#39;s Hometown Throwdown events for New England. The 2008 series brought paddlers from all over the North East to compete in this unique, fun, low-key events.

Ledyard Festival Wrap Up.

A good time was had by all in the great white north! Organizing events is hard. Producing a first year festival (and actually getting people to attend) is even harder.

Ledyard River Festival

A NEW whitewater festival in NH!!! 2009 marks the 100th anniversary of the Dartmouth Outing Club, the largest college outdoor club in the country. To celebrate this momentous occasion, the venerated Ledyard Canoe Club, one of the DOCand#39;s affiliate clubs and an organization steeped in paddling history, is organizing the first annual Ledyard River Festival.
