7:00-8:00am Check-In, start time given, and Race Bib pick up for preregistered and approved racers only.

8:00-8:30am Race meeting

8:30am Racers will start down the stairs

Start Time: Once Georgia Power has given notification that we can start, the first racer will be released. Shooting for some time between 9:30-10:00am

The second permitted Tallulah Race is happening this year, on November 11!

Race starts above Last Step and ends at Power House. There will be 60 seconds between racers. Fastest time wins. A special thanks to Georgia Power Company and the Georgia Department of Natural Resources for allowing the race to happen this year.

We have a plan to minimize the amount of time taken from other boaters on this release day. To accomplish this, all racers and safety team will go down the steps starting at 8:30am. Normally boaters are not allowed to start down the stairs until the water levels have been declared stabilized, by Georgia Power personnel. Which normally happens between 9:45-10:30am. When you think about the amount of time it takes to hike down all the steps, there may only be a 15-20 minute window where boaters may be held up from launching. Private boaters will be allowed to start down the stairs as normal, when the water stabilizes.
