The League of Northwest Whitewater Racers will be hosting the Roaring River Slalom races on the Clackamas river on August 8th and 9th. Lisa Day has worked real hard getting this together this year and it would be great to have a good turnout. More information can be found at http://www.nwwhitewater.org/PDF/2015%20RR%20Flyer.pdf.

Due to commitments from many of the instructors that have taught in the last couple of years there will not be a clinic on Saturday. BUT don’t let that stop you. Come on up and ask one of the other boaters for pointers, they are more than willing to help. But come on out and try the race. The difference of a practice run and a timed run mentally is big. You will be surprised it will challenge you and will be a good indicator of how good (or bad) of condition you are in.

World Kayak will be there to support any first timers with some nice SWAG for showing up and racing on Sunday.

Don’t worry about what boat you are in, people have raced in playboats, riverboats, creek boats, and of course slalom boats. Oh yeah, don’t forget your C-1 or OC1 (canoeist know what these mean) cause you are welcome as well!

Registration is on Saturday, so make sure you stop by to sign up if you plan on racing Sunday.
