Lots of things happening here in the Pacific Northwest. This weekend the Northwest Creeking Competition is firing up (April 11th and 12th) at Sunset Falls in Yacolt, WA. Great opportunity to come and watch some of the PNW’s best boaters huck it off Sunset Falls (and other parts of the race of course). Also on the 18th and 19th the NW League of Whitewater Racers will have a slalom course race at Bull Run (near Dodge Park in Oregon). This race is very flow dependent and could be rescheduled. There will be another slalom race on March 2nd and 3rd at Cedar River in WA (good for people new to slalom racing). There are divisions for all ages, sexes, and boat types. Check out http://www.nwwhitewater.org/ for info on the slalom races and https://en-gb.facebook.com/nwcreekcomp for info on the NW Creeking competition.

Also a river safety warning. There has been reports of new wood located on the upper Klickitat River (staging station to Leidl). This is a local class III run that is normally only runnable in the spring. So be careful if running that section.
