Well, we have had one of the coldest winters in History here in Wisconsin but it is finally warming up. Pool Sessions were a blast. 27 people showed up to the Green Bay session last Sunday! And…to kick off the spring, we will have a throwdown as soon as the Manitowoc opens! Right now ice is still in the way, so we are patiently waiting. Tentative Date is next Saturday, March 29th at 1pm for our throwdown and a back up of April 5th. We have had lots of amazing help putting the event together.

First World Kayak as the primary host of the event will have prizes from many of our sponsors, Immersion Research, Mountain Khakis, Smith Optics, Astral, Kokatat, Stonyboater, Shred Ready, Chaco, Jackson Kayak, Ninkas, Rapid Transit and I’ll be filming with my Go Pro!  Brian scholz has found $200 of prizes for our drawing at the end! AND Michael Koenig brought Rowlands Brewing Company from Chilton, WI on board with a growler, Gift Card and Tshirts!  We will be heading there for drinks and dinner after the comp!

The cost to compete and be entered in the drawing? just 10 bucks! and…all the money goes to Badger State Boating Society to help support pool sessions and kayak lessons for the next year.  Jim Jensen and Tom Schrader do a great job with Badger State Boating Society organizing pool sessions and lessons and to keep them around, we need to support the organization so they can continue to afford hosting them for an affordable cost!

The Manitowoc CVB is also putting together participant bags with all sorts of goodies from the city of Manitowoc.

This is the best wave around and a great way for all of us to try to step up our game! So we hope to see you all there!! Stay updated with the potential date change by following us on facebook https://www.facebook.com/events/288638104617459/?ref=br_tf

Praying for warmer weather to melt that ice! See you on the Water
