Whats up people? As some of you may already know, we’re coming up on our sixth WK Hometown Throwdown of the season, Stones River Survivor Boater X.
This is a group race through the “Harker’s Crossing” section of the Stones River in Murfreesboro, TN. You may remember the slalom race we had there last year. We had alot of fun. This is a relatively easy (class I/II) section of river, but with lots of trees separating the passages, thereby providing many different routes down the river.
Here’s the catch, we will have “defenders” set up, hiding along the course, ready to shoot out and stop you. You should expect low visibility too, we will set off smoke grenades all along the course to keep things interesting. I have this picture in my head of what this will look like, lol. It looks super fun!
So, whether you’re interested in competing or being a “defender”, its no matter, all participants will be able to be entered in our World Kayak gear raffle provided by the sponsors listed at the bottom of this post! And after that, we plan on heading to TOOTS for some ribs, wings, and fun!
So if you want to do something different, then this Saturday, come and meet us behind the liquor store on Thompson Lane near Broad Street (2122 N. Thompson Lane, Murfreesboro, TN), this Saturday morning at 10am! Can’t wait to see you all there!!!
