BBQ & Raffle

Central Oregon’s first Hometown Throwdown was big on gusto, fun and sun.  Held at Big Eddy on the Deschutes River, the format was a free ride from the Notch to Sous Hole.  This allowed for some river moves and then a wild ride in Sous.  Some carnage ensued, but this awesome group of boaters was full of smiles.  The  BBQ after the comp was a wonderfully relaxing time and the raffle was popular as always.  Congratulations to Kelly, our winner, who was the only competitor who needed the 90 second finish signal. A special thanks to Marlo for his candid judging.  This was a great start to our Hometown Throwdown series.  A big thanks to every participant for making this event a great success, and also to World Kayak and their sponsors for a great kayaking program.
